Imarc’s creative team worked with North Shore REALTORS® (NSR) to refresh its brand to demonstrate how NSR provides value to its members, prospective members, and the community. To kick off the project, Imarc’s team sent a creative questionnaire to NSR stakeholders that included questions regarding target audience, desired vision, aesthetic tolerance, and more. This gave both teams a jump start as we dove into creative discovery and in-person exercises.
Finding our North Star
Imarc’s team then presented multiple mood boards to ground the team on a vision. All of this work, from the questionnaire to in-person exercises, and the mood boards, gave the team a North Star to point to for the rest of the project. As Imarc’s team iterated on logos, we were able to look back at these goals to ground ourselves and work towards the correct outcome.
Elements of the region
The redesigned logo brings together multiple elements including a house, shoreline, sailboat, and the letter N all into one unique mark. With the final logo approved, the team then moved into color exploration. It was really important for NSR to have flexibility with the logo and color. To make a subtle reference to the region, we pulled colors that are often seen on sails in the North Shore area.
New and improved
As our final creative deliverable, the team presented the new Brand Guidelines which covered everything from logo variations and usage to colors, typography, and photography. We also mocked up some promotional products like business cards and clothing.

A refreshed approach
Imarc previously designed the NSR website in 2008 to design their website, and it was wonderful being able to work with the team yet again. We are excited to see the outcome of this refresh!
