Founded in 2015 by a Maine-based husband and wife team, Sweet Dirt offers a carefully curated collection of clean, high-quality cannabis. As the state of Maine legalized adult-use marijuana sales, Sweet Dirt sought to adapt their original website to focus more on this new audience, while still serving medical-use cardholders.
Establishing a Vision
Imarc updated the visual design of the site to differentiate it from the medical side of the business and include more imagery that would appeal to the adult-use audience’s desire to use marijuana as a means to enhance their daily lives. In order to serve both customers, all site visitors are met with an age verification screen, which asks them to select either medical or adult-use in order to route them to the relevant content.
Built on the HubSpot CMS
Imarc’s engineers developed on the existing HubSpot CMS, creating templates for site pages using HubSpot’s flexible columns and reusable custom modules throughout the site for more fluid and adaptable page designs and layouts.
An SEO Strategy
To support Sweet Dirt’s ongoing marketing, Imarc writes fresh blog articles, using a set of targeted keywords. Meta tags and page descriptions were also included in the redesign process to ensure a strong SEO presence.
