Since 1984, The Wells Reserve has provided public programs in science, training education and stewardship for more than 25,000 annual visitors. As a National Estuarine Research Reserve, the team sought out to redesign the organization’s website in effort to increase exposure of the organization and all its objectives.

As a National Estuarine Research Reserve, the redesigned site places an emphasis on The Wells Reserve’s commitment to science, research and continued education. The site highlights workshops and events hosted by the reserve, as a place for visitors of all types to enjoy nature on a daily basis.

Built on the Craft CMS platform, the redesigned site is optimized to deliver an easy-to-navigate experience for visitors and administrators. From cross-linking content articles to a redesigned blog, content is easily updated and accessible to all users.

Natural Visual Designs

Sitewide photography and videography capture the beauty of The Wells Reserve which translates to the new site. Imarc utilized visual design to deliver engaging content to visitors and encourage them to learn more about the programs, people and ongoing dedication at the reserve.

A Persona-based Experience

Delivering a persona-based experience was crucial; capturing the interest for four persona’s within the site navigation. Through sitemap exercises, Imarc developed The Wells Reserve site architecture to address the interest of four primary personas: visit, education, conservation and research.
